Dear
fellow Brazil traveler,
many
of you have seen Brazil over the last two years with us. So
you know...
Brazil has got ONE BIG PROBLEM
for potential travelers.
Since
it is bigger then the US, it neighbors on so many countries
that are obvious additions to a Brazil vacation.
So...
last year we added Buenos
Aires, Argentina <http://www.SouthAmerica.travel/Brazil-Tours/tours/TSW.html>
, rather successfully we must say with all modesty :-).
This
time we added Chile
and the Andes <http://www.SouthAmerica.travel/Brazil-Tours/tours/CAB.html>
. Now you can take a three week trip from Santiago to the
Lake Region, Bariloche, Buenos Aires, Iguassu Falls, Serra
do Mar Mountains, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro!
But now to our latest:
1. Investors are getting
smarter about Brazil
2. Did you know? A few facts about Brazil
3. THE mini group special
4. African Heritage tours
5. Agricultural tours and other specialty tours to Brazil
6. Our specials
1. Investors are getting smarter!
It took the international investment community
a while: For much of the past year, investors have assumed
that if Argentina were to default on its debts, Brazil would
follow suit. Now, with Argentina closer then ever to default,
Brazil's financial markets rose to
there highest level since Sept. 11th.
Although
the debt to GDP ratio has deteriorated to about 57%, Brazil
still fulfills all the strict criteria to adopt the Euro,
the new European currency! Just imagine Italy and Belgium
have debt ratios close to or above 100 % !
The "Real" (Brazilian currency) in real terms is
now at a exchange rate close to where it was in 1991 when
Brazil experienced huge trade surpluses.
(Economist Nov. 10th, 2001)
2. Did you know? A few facts about
Brazil
That 70 % of Brazil's exports are manufactured
goods?
And
this even though Brazil is the largest country in the world
in terms of arable land?
That
Brazil is the top producer of Coffee, Oranges and Sugar
Cane?
And
that Brazil is top in the ranking of heads of cattle?
Brazil is tops the list for iron
reserves?
Brazil is the biggest market for executive jets in
Latin America?
That
7000 companies in Brazil have ISO 9000 quality certification,
compared to 300 companies in Mexico and 270 in Argentina?
That
Brazil's growth in scientific productivity was second
only to South Korea between 1995 and 1998?
And that Brazil is the largest user of the internet
in the Southern Hemisphere?

4. African Heritage tours
The
above tour Brazil:
Rhythm and Diamonds also is the perfect African
heritage tour. For your mini group we would be able to
put an emphasis on the slave trade and abolition of slavery
during all sightseeings. Brazil's state of Bahia has the longest
history of slavery on the American continent: 1500 to 1888.
Nowhere in the Americas African culture is as alive as here,
with many traditions from Angola that still exist in Bahia
but (due to protracted civil war in Angola) do not exist in
Africa anymore!
Or
new traditions have been formed: A dance that in effect comes
from the training of self defense techniques: Capoeira.
The
religion is Catholicism that incorporates the African Gods
still today, Virgin Mary and Yemanjá...just as an example.
Even
if you cannot bring a mini group of 8, just by joining our
regular tour, the riches of African culture never escape your
eye!
5. Agricultural tours and other specialty tours to Brazil
Have
your itinerary partly or completely customized in order to
see what your group wants and not what the standard tours
let you see:

a Escorted Agricultural Group Tour to Brazil and/or
Argentina including highlights such as Soybeans, Coffee,
Orange Sugar cane, Poultry, irrigation projects sustainable
agriculture under tropical conditions:
There
are two ways to customize an agricultural trip for your group:

your groups requirements:

example: the Rio and Amazon tour; add three nights
in Brasilia in the heart of the soybean farming area.
During the pre-Tour or the Tango Samba Waterfalls tour, add

soybean fields in the Brazilian state of Paraná.
